The Forum Bugs and Problems thread
Right folks, encountered a bug? having a problem with the forum? or just noticed the forum doing something stupid? then post all in here and im sure tocky in all his brilliance will try and fix it
right ill kick things of with something related to topic stretching due to long names (or names with lots of words), stu's new name is a good example, the forum deems it fit to wrap it onto 5 seperate lines meaning you end up with a huge topic box, like below:
http://img479.imageshack.us/img479/1271/rfhuge6bb.jpg
and it sticks out like a sore thumb and looks abit naff, not sure if you can do anything or not
or y'know stu could go back to being stu or LHStu like the good ol days

Err, yeah, sorry about that. I chose that for a bit of a change, because I once had long hair, and will again, but couldn't fit all that into the name. At least I'm testing what the forum can do. Heh.
It must be fixable though, as it's not doing it as badly on my topics in The Film Club and Live and Online.

One thing I'd like if possible, is a link to the next/previous page at the top of a topic (there's one at the bottom, but I'm sure we had one at the top on the old forum).

Too big? No way. I just set my browser settings to resize large content to fit the screen width. Try it, everything fits pretty sweet on the screen...
Also, why does everyone always quote on here? Is there a problem with direct response without quotes?

There is no problem with direct responces without quotes... I've never really noticed it before to be honest.
I guess it does help the flow of conversations, with people addressing other peoples questions and comments directly, rather than it being a big free for all.

The forum is doing that rubbish thing that GR does - you can't immediately edit a post, instead it gives you some rubbish about not being able to make a post so soon after your last one. I'm sure it didn't do that before, so why now?

Probably settings that I've not tweaked yet. I'll sort it out now.

 Chaz Can't Log In
I'm just passing on the message here. He says he can't log in.

I can't log in either when I use Firefox - I type in the correct name and password, click log in, but it takes me to the index logged out.
Oddly, it works in IE.

I'm looking into it now, but for now, tell him to try deleting the RF cookie.

I can now. Fucking Firefox auto-password thingy was giving me the wrong password for some reasons. Manually typing it after a few attempts worked.

Welcome back, I'm glad it wasn't a problem on my end, as I was stumped as to the solution.

It seemed yesterday that autologin stopped working (well it did on both my PC's) so I would assume that might've been the problem.

Any chance of changing the board email address so it shows emails as being sent from Random Fury when receiving PM notifications and the like?

 Phantom PM
I just received an email saying that I had a new PM here, only... well, I dont. 'No new messages' displayed at the top of the screen, and no unread messages in my PM folder. It's only 50% full as well, so it can't be a space issue.
I tried accessing the forum through both the normal way as well as through the link provided in the email notification, and still no PM.
WHO PM'D ME AND WHY IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE K THX BYE.
